The Spiritual Teachings of Beavis and Butthead is a satirical pop-culture spirituality book inspired by Mike Judge’s animated series.

In 1992, Mike Judge released a short animated film called “Frog Baseball.” This film introduced the world to two of the most classic buffoons ever created: Beavis and Butthead. While the masses saw this as an exercise in extreme stupidity, the truly gifted religious teachers saw the truth. Beavis and Butthead was a spiritual teaching.

They represented two enlightened beings playing the roles necessary to teach us the true path—the path of television, desire, boredom, boobs, and enlightenment. What appeared to be mindless animation was, in fact, a form of pop-culture philosophy disguised as crude humor.

To this day, most people do not understand the spiritual wisdom handed down through the brilliant mind of Mike Judge. For several years, I have been teaching classes based on these ideas, interpreting Beavis and Butthead as an accidental spiritual system for the modern age.
